Is Global Warming going to rob us of our Heritage Site??

As you know, my home is in Lyme Regis and two days ago, the biggest landslip in 100 years took away 400 metres of this precious ancient coastline.  The official Jurassic Coast World Heritage website tried to play things down, saying 'the fact that the cliffs naturally erode to expose this amazing geological story is the very reason why this part of the coast was designated a World Heritage Site'.

Fossil hunters are rejoicing, because the landslip will undoubtedly uncover a lot of new fossils.  But should we be worried about what global warming is doing to this wonderful stretch of coast?  Experts have conceded that the unusually wet summer of 2007 has undoubtedly played a part in this landslip.
